Software Engineer July 2023 – present

Remote / Columbia, SC

Full-lifecycle engineering across Loud Door and its brands — a wide range of technologies and interconnected systems, handling whatever the work calls for:

  • Cross-platform Mobile Apps — launched a Capacitor app on the iOS App Store and Google Play, owning the entire lifecycle from initial specs through store approval and release. Maintain and publish additional store-distributed apps backed by Laravel APIs.
  • Print Card Asset Processing — processing print-based card art for digital use in collectible card games, with the attention to detail collectors expect. Maintain the internal art archive, including file organization and naming schemes.
  • Official Rules Websites — created two official rules sites backed by a headless CMS so non-technical staff can edit content. Powered by markdown, each generates fresh downloadable PDFs on every rebuild, with CI pipelines building automatically on merges to master.
  • Lead Generation Platform — maintenance and feature development of a lead generation system serving education partners.
  • Digital Asset Marketplace — maintenance and feature development of a complex, blockchain-backed collectibles marketplace.
  • Headless WordPress Architecture — evolved a WordPress site into an Astro frontend with WordPress as the datastore, integrated with Shopify and Klaviyo.
  • CI / CD — deployment of apps via CI pipelines across different platforms, from web hosts to the iOS and Android app stores.
  • Work with project managers to weigh feature requests, set priorities, and get changes shipped.
  • Always working to educate and empower non-technical employees.
